The Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) is a global showcase for the aerospace industry and its reputation alone attracts a vast international audience. It provides the most diverse range of exhibitors from core sectors of the aerospace industry: Civil, Military, Space, Manufacturing Technology, Rotary and MRO. With over 1500 exhibitors from all over the world, it's a very effective and efficient way to meet with potential customers and suppliers. To support eligible small businesses in the aerospace industry, the Kansas Department of Commerce will provide exhibit opportunities under a Kansas Pavilion to eight Kansas aviation companies. Each participating company will receive exhibition assistance, and travel assistance in the form of post-activity reimbursement.

International Buyer Program

The International Buyer Program (IBP) is a joint government-industry effort that brings thousands of international buyers to the United States for business-to-business matchmaking with U.S. firms exhibiting at major industry trade shows. Participating U.S. companies will not only meet more pre-screened buyers, representatives and distributors, but their products and services can be listed in the Export Interest Directory and distributed to all international visitors. Every year, the IBP results in approximately a billion dollars in new business for U.S. companies. For a list of upcoming trade shows, please visit the International Buyer Program website. Four funding opportunities will be made available to eligible small businesses. Each participating company will receive up to $300 in airfare assistance and $2,000 in exhibition assistance in the form of post-activity reimbursement. Airfare expenses must meet the “Fly America” Guidelines.

Certified Trade Fairs

Every year the U.S. Department of Commerce certifies a variety of foreign trade shows to increase U.S. exports and to expand U.S. participation in overseas trade shows.
