Murals Transform the World<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Governor Laura Kelly announced today that 37 rural murals were completed in 14 Kansas communities in 2022 through the Office of Rural Prosperity\u2019s (ORP) Rural Mural and Public Art Grant Programing. These grants helped communities with fewer than 10,000 residents create murals and public art projects to beautify public gathering spaces and serve as new tourist attractions. <\/em>The Kansas Arts Commission<\/a> (KAC) has funded over 41 murals in 26 communities in the past few years and has 21artists on its Mural and Public Art Roster<\/a>. KAC\u2019s programs are designed to utilize artists and arts organizations to increase community vibrancy and provide space for artistic expression and public engagement.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n\n
