class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kansas Office of Apprenticeship State Grant<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Kansas Department of Commerce and the Kansas Office of Registered Apprenticeship are committed to meeting Kansas\u2019 high-wage, high-demand workforce needs by expanding Registered Apprenticeship programs.\u00a0Governor Kelly\u00a0has set an aggressive vision to<em>\u00a0Growing beyond\u00a010,001\u00a0Apprentices\u00a0by 2031, focusing on Quality and Sustainability.<\/em>\u00a0This grant provides direct operational support to\u00a0meet that vision and\u00a0to\u00a0grow\u00a0new\u00a0and existing programs\u2014such as business support, marketing, and training equipment\u2014to help them grow, expand services, and reach more class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Initiatives&nbsp;that increase&nbsp;the number&nbsp;of Registered&nbsp;Apprentices&nbsp;in&nbsp;Kansas&nbsp;through the&nbsp;expansion or the&nbsp;development of multi-employer intermediaries or&nbsp;single employer&nbsp;program sponsors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0New programs\u00a0must register\u00a0a\u00a0minimum of\u00a0five\u00a0Registered Apprentices\u00a0within twelve months of being awarded.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Current\u00a0programs\u00a0must increase Registered Apprenticeship enrollment by at least\u00a05% year over year in high-wage, high-demand occupations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Projects can also\u00a0expand\u00a0youth\u00a0Registered Apprenticeship\u00a0engagement by registering at least two youth apprentices or completing four K\u201312\/community engagement activities, while developing a strategic plan to increase Registered Apprenticeship outreach for ages 16\u201317.\u00a0This is also\u00a0referred to as \u201cyouth\u00a0Registered Apprenticeship\u201d and explained in the Youth Apprenticeship Kansas Insurance Commission Letter here:\u00a0<a of Commerce requires that business and non-profit applicants are in good standing status with the Kansas Secretary of State (SOS) at the time of submission and throughout the duration of the grant agreement to receive grant funds. Businesses and non-profit organizations are required to upload a screenshot of current status from the Business Search of the Kansas Secretary of State webpage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Please search for your organization on the Secretary of State Business Search Webpage and take a screenshot of your organization&#8217;s \u201cgeneral information page\u201d This page will have both the current organization&#8217;s status and expiration date.&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sos.ks.gov\/eforms\/BusinessEntity\/Search.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.sos.ks.gov\/eforms\/BusinessEntity\/Search.aspx<\/a><br>Applicants do not need to purchase a certificate of good standing.
