Indra Group is investing nearly $7.5 million in its 25,000 square-foot radar facility at the Great Plains Commerce Center in Olathe, where they will begin manufacturing next-generation air traffic surveillance radars.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSince&nbsp;my administration took office, we have been highly successful&nbsp;re-establishing and reinforcing our international partnerships&nbsp;across the globe,\u201d&nbsp;<strong>\u30ed\u30fc\u30e9\u30fb\u30b1\u30ea\u30fc\u77e5\u4e8b\u306f\u6b21\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u8ff0\u3079\u305f\u3002<\/strong>. \u201cOur visit to Indra Group\u2019s headquarters in Madrid and the intentional connections made were an important piece to their decision to invest in Kansas. Thanks to the strong relationship formed, Kansas is going to be a crucial pillar in expanding Indra Group\u2019s domestic supply chain and technology transfer abilities, while also creating jobs right here in our state.\u201d &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The investment is supporting the creation of more than 140 skilled U.S. jobs across engineering, manufacturing, integration, deployment,&nbsp;and system support functions. This next-generation radar system will strengthen the domestic industrial base while ensuring long-term support,&nbsp;sustainment,&nbsp;and scalability for critical air traffic infrastructure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOur investment in Kansas, the creation of high-quality American jobs, and the transfer of advanced radar technology to the U.S. reflect our long-term commitment to America and to the FAA as the world\u2019s leading air navigation service provider,\u201d <strong>said Jos\u00e9 Vicente de&nbsp;los&nbsp;Mozos, CEO of Indra Group<\/strong>. \u201cWe are fully aligned with the FAA, the U.S. Department of Transportation, Congress, and the Administration in delivering a safer, more resilient and future-ready National Airspace System, on time, at scale, and with accountability to the American taxpayer.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The strong foundation of partnership between Kansas and Indra Group was built through consistent engagement from Kansas leadership, who emphasized Kansas\u2019 ideal location and strong workforce necessary for new economic development investments. Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland visited the Indra Group headquarters in Madrid in November 2024. In June 2025, Kansas Representatives Sharice Davids and Ron Estes and State Representative Susan Estes also visited the headquarters after participating in the Paris Airshow. Most recently, in October 2025, Governor Laura Kelly traveled to Spain to have discussions with company executives at their headquarters.
