This program provides funding for educational institutions, arts organizations, and community service non-profits to use the arts to increase student success, foster creative thinking, develop critical job skills, enhance community development, and increase participation in the arts across Kansas. Projects must relate to an arts and culture discipline (music, dance, theatre, creative writing, literature, painting, sculpture, folk arts, photography, crafts, media arts, visual arts, programs of museums, and other such allied, major art forms).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applications will be open from February 23, 2026, to March 23, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>All grant activities and expenditures must take place within the grant period, July 1, 2026 &#8211; June 30, 2027. Eligible projects include but are not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Staff\/volunteer exchange<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional development opportunities such as attendance at seminars and workshops<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Planning for development opportunities such as fundraising or marketing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Equipment\/technology needs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Salary Assistance <\/strong>category can be used for the full or partial salary support for one or more positions. The positions must be critical to the mission of the organization, the organization&#8217;s annual operating budget must be $150,000 or less. For example, if your grant request is $10,000, your organization would be expected to spend $10,000 in expenses from other non-state and non-federal sources towards the project, for total project expenses of $20,000. This can include any allowable in-kind goods or services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Who Qualifies<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Established 501(c)(3) organizations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Federally recognized tribal communities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Units of local governments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note: Units of public entities or large multipurpose institutions must have their own discreet operating budgets and an advisory or governing board.
