She received the 2020 Arizona Governor&#8217;s Art Award for Outstanding Arts Organization\/Arts Administrator and the 2018 Employee of the Year Award from the City of Yuma, Arizona where she served as the Director of the Yuma Art Center and Historic Yuma Theatre.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the community, she serves as on the boards of the Kansas Arts Network, Wichita Asian Association, and Friends University School of Business Advisory Board, and is a member of the Wichita Rotary Club. She is also a dedicated educator who regularly adjuncts at several colleges and served in the Peace Corps as a Youth Development Advisor in Kampong Cham, Cambodia. She formerly co-hosted a show with the Kansas Lieutenant Governor called \u201cThe LG Desk Concert Series\u201d that featured successful Kansans like Melissa Ethridge.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sierra is an award-winning journalist, whose work premiered at the Film Festival in Toronto as well as the United Nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, Sierra recently starred in what\u2019s believed to be the nation\u2019s first local TV sitcom called \u201cWichita Madhouse.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sierra has appeared in two movies, two national TV shows and two national talk shows. She\u2019s also starred in a music video, hosts her own Podcast, has walked the runway in both Paris Fashion week and New York Fashion week. Throughout her professional career she has served on local nonprofit boards and state and national advisory committees including the Youth Symphony of Kansas City board, University of Saint Mary Business Department Advisory Board, and Americans for the Arts\u2019 County Arts Network Steering Committee.
