The state’s network of workforce centers and community and technical colleges offer a variety of ways for you to improve your WORKReady! skill level and develop a self-improvement plan.

Skills gap training consists of personalized, online education sessions designed to help improve your skill level and your assessment scores – and help you perform better on the job and get ahead at work.

How it works:

  • When you take the WORKReady! assessment, you will receive scores in each area – applied mathematics, locating information and reading for information – to determine your skill level.
  • Your lowest score determines your overall  WORKReady! Certificate level, so focusing on your weakest area is a quick way to improve your level.
  • Simply contact the  WORKReady! administrator at your local workforce center or community or technical college to sign up for free training provided by WIN. The program is online and self-led and allows you to focus on the area where you need to improve.
