The state’s network of workforce centers and community and technical colleges offer a variety of ways for you to improve your WORKReady! skill level and develop a self-improvement plan. Skills gap training consists of personalized, online education sessions designed to help improve your skill level and your assessment scores – and help you perform better on the job and get ahead at work. How it works: When you take the WORKReady! assessment, you will receive scores in each area – applied mathematics, locating information and reading for information – to determine your skill level. Your lowest score determines your overall WORKReady! Certificate level, so focusing on your weakest area is a quick way to improve your level. Simply contact the WORKReady! administrator at your local workforce center or community or technical college to sign up for free training provided by WIN. The program is online and self-led and allows you to focus on the area where you need to improve.
