について

Old Sound is what happens when a trio of lifelong friends and musical collaborators mix elements of americana and a dash of sonic alchemy. The band’s original brand of “liquid folk,” flows effortlessly between intricate acoustic compositions, vivid lyrics, infectious bass lines and harmonies that pull you right in. Comprised of Grady Keller’s imaginative storytelling and strengthened by the exploratory bluegrass flat-picking style of Chad Brothers and the playful groove of Greg Herrenbruck on upright bass, all of whom take turns leading the group vocally. It’s like the sound of a late-night bluegrass jam session that evolved into something richer, layered with roots that run deep from Winfield, Kansas. With live performances that combine campfire coziness and full-on musical exploration, Old Sound turns acoustic music into something timeless, yet unexpected.
