喜びのある生活のために芸術を活用する

The Kansas Arts Commission is honored to have joined a cohort of 36 grantees—state and jurisdictional arts agencies—in advancing the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies’ クリエイティブ・エイジングへの州投資の活用 initiative with E.A. Michelson Philanthropy. Creative Aging leverages the arts—including music, poetry, literature, storytelling, dance, theatre and the visual arts—in ensuring our nation’s population ages not only with sound health, but also with independence, dignity, purpose and joy.

クリエイティブ・エイジング・カンザス

In consultation with nationally recognized experts Lifetime Arts, Kansas Arts Commission developed a multi-sector cohort of teaching artists that provided site-specific creative aging workshops across the state.  Additionally, KAC developed a robust network of organizational and state agency collaborators within Kansas and nationwide. The goal was for seniors to be served through the programs in multifaceted ways: as participants in creative aging programming, as organizers and mentors, and as empowered arts leaders.
