Kansas Jobseekers, Employers Encouraged to Participate in August Job Fair

Two people are seated in an office cubicle, both facing the camera and smiling. One person is working at a desktop computer with a second display showing various applications, while the other holds a laptop. The cubicle is decorated with string lights, and there are large windows in the background letting in natural light.

Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland invites jobseekers and employers to take part in the August Virtual Statewide Job Fair, hosted by カンザスWORKS, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27.

“If you’re wanting to kickstart a new career — or looking for new talent to add to your team — you’ll be sure to find it at the カンザスWORKS Virtual Statewide Job Fair,” デビッド・トーランド副知事兼商務長官は次のように述べた。. “Kansas has plenty of good-paying jobs available right now in a broad array of industries and our team is ready to help you advance your career.”

The virtual format allows anyone searching for a new job to fill out applications, chat live and interview with participating employers.

This month’s Virtual Statewide Job Fair portal features helpful information such as a jobseeker training video, a list of participating employers and channels for attendees to register and log in. Jobseekers are encouraged to dress professionally, as they might be asked to engage in an interview.

Candidates can participate through any digital device. Any individual with a disability may request accommodation by contacting their nearest workforce center at (877) 509-6757 prior to the event.
