Kansas Tourism Announces 13 Attraction Development Grant Awardees

Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland today announced that more than $400,000 has been awarded for projects that will boost tourism throughout the state. Funding from the Attraction Development Grant program, which focuses on assisting local communities in the development of sustainable travel experiences through new and existing tourism attractions, will be divided among 13 entities.

“By supporting our local attractions with these grants, we are able to create transformative experiences that draw more out-of-state visitors and enhance the quality of life for local residents,” ha declarado el Vicegobernador y Secretario de Comercio, David Toland. “Our goal is to amplify the unique aspects of all regions of Kansas, ensuring each attraction serves as a powerful catalyst for economic development and community pride.”

The grant program is an initiative designed to provide financial assistance to public, private and nonprofit entities to invest in enhancing tourism across the state. The initiative will create a positive economic impact through job creation, capital investment, higher revenue and increased visitation.

“By investing in new projects and enhancing current experiences, we’re going to be able to attract more visitors and foster sustainable growth,” En palabras de la Directora de Turismo de Kansas, Bridgette Jobe. “The funds provided are going to fuel both innovation and expansion — together empowering and elevating communities to a higher standard.”
