Paul Alexander

Paul Alexander is an artist with over 30 years of experience. He has done various mediums of art from sculptures, airbrushing, faux finishing, hand painted and mosaic murals, designed jewelry, 3D collages, drawings and painted visual symphonies. He was classically trained through anatomy by George Sotos at the drawing workshop in Chicago for 15+ years. Educated in the Munsell color system. His approach to murals has been through research, interview and immersion of the community in which the installation will take place.

Paul finds it is important to include the input of the community in which the public work will be located. Taking into account the fabric of the community is pivotal. The art should truly be representative of the cause/message that each community relates to. He believes that each project gives him the opportunity to learn about the culture in the community. Including local artists is key to any community art installation, as well as, including local residents to participate and learn in the process.
