Kansas Touring Roster Visiting Artists Program

Kansas Touring Roster Visiting Artists grants provide funding for eligible organizations to engage and deepen the impact of arts programming on local and underserved audiences through exposure to and interaction with professional visiting artists from the Kansas Touring Roster. Presenters may book artists in any discipline, not just in performing arts. Projects should strive to integrate an arts discipline into non-arts content areas, help interpret an exhibition, performance or presentation, and support community development goals and objectives.

Grant Amount: $1,000 – $10,000

Requisito del partido:

KAC requires that all grants are matched at a minimum of 1:1 through a combination of cash and in-kind expenses. For Kansas Touring Roster Visiting Artist grants the total match may be $1,000 less than the grant request. For example, if your grant request is $10,000, your organization would be expected to spend $9,000 in expenses from other non-state and non-federal sources towards the project, for total project expenses of $19,000. This can include any allowable in-kind goods or services. Applicant organizations based in a county with a 2024 population of 50,000 or less or a municipality with a population of 5,000 or less may claim in kind non-monetary donations as up to 100% of the required matching funds for the project. Refer to the Kansas Certified Population document available from the Kansas Division of the Budget for population data.

For projects happening after July 1, 2026 please submit via the Kansas Department of Commerce Grants Portal.
