2026 KOBD Permitting Workshop

The Kansas Office of Broadband Development (KOBD) held the 2026 KOBD Permitting Workshop, which was designed to demystify the permitting process for broadband infrastructure projects and help you move projects forward with confidence.

  • Expert presentations and panel discussions covering permitting requirements, best practices, and strategies.
  • Practical guidance on working with the Kansas Department of Transportation, railroads, utilities, municipalities, the Kansas Historic Preservation Office, and more.
  • In-person attendees can join optional, 30-minute, one-on-one workshops with KOBD and BEAD team members to seek high-level guidance on program requirements, compliance, and next steps. These sessions are also an excellent opportunity for subrecipients to introduce their teams as BEAD projects begin!
