Broadband Grant Program Manager–221283–Topeka

Resumen del puesto:

Supports the administration and development of broadband grant programs by managing the full grant lifecycle, including application review, contract administration, fund disbursement, compliance monitoring, and contract closeout. Provides technical assistance to grant recipients to ensure adherence to state and federal requirements. Researches and pursues funding opportunities to support and expand broadband initiatives, while collaborating with stakeholders and participating in meetings, workshops, and outreach activities to promote program success and achieve strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the broadband director in developing the Broadband Grant Program.
  • Reviews applications, manages contracting, reviews and approves requests for funds disbursement, closes out contracts and fulfills any other duties necessary to administer grant funding.

The Main Street Program Manager provides technical assistance, training, and strategic support to Kansas Main Street communities to promote downtown revitalization and economic development. This position delivers data-driven insights using tools such as Maestro, Placer.ai, and ESRI; administers the Main Street Affiliate Program; assesses community needs; and coordinates marketing and branding initiatives with agency communications staff. The Program Manager collaborates with local, state, and regional partners, participates in community development resource teams, and supports revitalization efforts in both Main Street and non-Main Street communities across Kansas. 

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Consultation, Legal Research and Advise for the Workforce Services Division, AJLA, CIAC, KAC and other divisions, receives oral or written questions from other employees of the agency or receives oral or written assignments from the Chief Attorney.

Connect participants with individualized services and community resources to address barriers to employment and stability. Coordinate workforce services with RRC staff to avoid duplication and utilize local labor market information to identify high-demand, high-wage opportunities for participants. 

Responsibilities:

This position oversees the operation, scheduling, and deployment of the Kansas Works Mobile Workforce Center to provide employment, reemployment, and employer services statewide. Collaborates with workforce boards, One-Stop partners, and community stakeholders to deploy services based on priority needs, including disaster response, rural outreach, job fairs, and employer engagement. Ensures vehicle readiness, equipment functionality, routine maintenance, and accurate tracking of financial and utilization records. 

To be considered for this position, candidates must be located in one of the following service areas: Chanute, Emporia, Independence, Lawrence, Pittsburg, or Topeka.
