Quality Places Division

División de Lugares de Calidad

Creating communities where residents and businesses can succeed.

The Kansas Department of Commerce established the Quality Places Division (QPD) in 2024 as part of a major organizational re-alignment. The division focuses on strengthening community assets through placemaking, broadband expansion, revitalization efforts, and other local development initiatives. By bringing these departments under one unified structure, QPD aims to create vibrant, attractive communities where residents and businesses can succeed. Its mission is to enhance quality of place and support economic growth through strategic investments, grants, and hands-on assistance for local projects across Kansas.

Latest News from QPD

Stay up to date with the latest press releases from our Quality Places Division, sharing news, achievements, and initiatives that demonstrate our dedication to building places that inspire and endure.
