About

Annette Hope Billings is an award-winning author and actress who infuses elements of theater to present her original poetry and prose. Dubbed “Maya of the Midwest” by audiences, Billings shine in presenting literature dynamically. She has published two books of poetry with a third due got release winter of 2017.

Awards to date include Renna Hunter acting award, Topeka ARTSConnect ARTY Award in Literature, and Troy Scroggins Award.

She has also been published in numerous journals and several anthologies.

Primary Program Description

Poetry readings, spoken word performances, writing classes (grade school on up), poetry workshops.

Program Fee
  • Fees range $150-500 (plus mileage, meals, lodging) depending on length, type of desired program, intended audience, number of performances requested.
  • Appearances, facilitated learning, or mobile display day rates are $500/day, plus lodging and transportation.
  • Mural work base rates are $30/square foot, inclusive of mural material, with an initial design fee of $500.

Educational Activity Information

An interactive poetry-creating experience geared toward elementary through middle/high school age audiences.
Poetry writing workshops for adults.
