About

Allison Bowman is a practicing multidisciplinary artist and advocate who creates experiences for everyday people through painting, collage, murals, and installations. Her artwork explores the line between the creative and subconscious mind. Bowman studies human connections to nature and how it relates to mental health and wellbeing. She believes in making art accessible to everyone, everywhere through murals and installation. Murals and public art are great for brightening up spaces, but it goes deeper than that for Bowman. They can be beacons of hope in dark times, a shared sense of culture, as well as messages to the community to come together in appreciation of what we have. Art is essential, especially coming out of a global pandemic. Using murals and public art we can make our communities and the world a better place to live.

Community Activity Information

I can provide community painting sessions with my murals where I outline the design and the community can come paint with me, learning about the process of painting a mural.

Educational Activity Information

My murals often have images of native Kansas plants and pollinators, so educational activities can be learning about the prairie ecosystem that we live in. This could include sessions for kids to come paint or color while learning what the flowers and pollinators are.

Price per Square Footage: $20 per square foot of mural wall

Non-Refundable Design/Sketch Fee: $100 for preliminary sketch/design for mural
