The maps provided here describe assets that are still having low level design (LLD) work completed. Minor changes, moves and adjustments to the location of assets may occur as the Freestate team continues to work through permitting, municipal and urban planning, and environmental requirements. Updates to this information will be provided at regular intervals.
You can download both .kmz files and the legend document via the button below. To see the planning map (and network path) overlaid alongside the heatmap, we recommend opening both .kmz files in Google Earth or your preferred KMZ/KML viewer simultaneously.
Items below are provided in the map.

Following feedback from the Industry Roundtable on July 25th, in the interest of security and privacy, we are not providing street level information (or ownership information) of privately owned co-location facilities not owned by the Freestate network. However, we understand that it may be helpful to gain a high-level understanding of where lit services will be regenerated, and Freestate equipment may be located so that other providers wishing to utilize dark fiber or duct may seek to obtain similar rack space or colocation services. This heat map is provided to show the approximate reach of Freestate lit-service offerings, and also an approximate location of the co-location facilities utilized for amplification of those services.
If you wish to learn more about a specific colocation facility utilized by the Freestate network, please contact [email protected] for further details.
