About

Amado Espinoza is a multi-instrumentalist/composer/instrument maker whose music is rooted in the spiritual traditions of the Andes mountains, while drawing inspiration from his musical-wanderlust personality. He is a Charlotte Street Foundation 2017 Performing Arts Fellow, TedxKC presenter and Adjunct Professor in the Graduate Student Theatre Department at UMKC. He will be performing with his wife and collaborator, Karen Lisondra, devised theatre director and actor’s trainer.

Primary Program Description

World Music Odyssey – an interactive journey through different cultures of the world using instruments from the Americas and Beyond.

  • $700 per performance, not including fees for travel/lodging.

Community Activity Information

Recycled Instrument Presentation/Workshop, max 25, ages 8-Adult. Participants or organization are encouraged to bring supplies (scissors, soda cans, plastic straws, pvc tubes, foam, etc). 2 hour workshop.
