Rural Resources

Small towns, big ideas

Kansas is home to small towns with big ideas and outstanding quality of life.

Our state’s rural communities are some of the best there are. The skies are big, the stars are bright and the neighbors are always willing to lend a helping hand. The lifestyle that rural Kansans enjoy simply cannot be found in big cities.

The Department of Commerce is dedicated to fostering strong and vibrant rural communities across our state. The same values that drive neighbors to help one another in rural Kansas are what drive us to continue our commitment to providing programs and services that grow and strengthen our state’s rural communities.
