Southeast KANSASWORKS and its partners, KANSASWORKS, Northeast Oklahoma Works, Montgomery County Action Council, and Coffeyville Area Chamber of Commerce will host the “Fall Into Your Perfect Career” job fair being held on Thursday, November 1st at the Coffeyville Recreation Center at 508 Park Street, Coffeyville Kansas. Nearly 50 employers scheduled to attend the event will have current job openings available ranging from entry-level positions to skilled, professional positions. Veterans and spouses of military members are encouraged to attend and will be identified as affiliated with the military. Many employers are seeking to employ military personnel in their business. Potential job applicants are encouraged to visit their local American Job Center office in Kansas or Oklahoma to prepare for the job fair in advance. Job Center staff will assist individuals in resume preparation and review, interviewing skills and tips on how to “work the room” at a job fair. The KANSASWORKS Mobile Job Center will also be available at the event to assist with resume prep and registration into the job matching systems. There is no cost for these services and advance contact with the job center is not required to attend the job fair. Some employers may conduct first-round interviews during the job fair, applicants should arrive with a supply of current resumes, be dressed professionally and ready to interview. Several area food trucks will be onsite during the event as well. If you have questions about the event or need assistance in preparing for the event, contact the American Job Center location in Independence Kansas at (620) 332-5904 or at the Northeast Oklahoma location in Miami Oklahoma at (918) 542-5561 or stop by the office.
