Speakers spotlight International trade

Topeka, Kan. – The Kansas Department of Commerce has announced the a session for International Trade Day, as well as the the featured speakers.

The session, titled “Navigating Through the Ever-changing Global Trade Landscape,” will take place at the Department of Commerce’s International Trade Day event at the K-State Student Union on June 4, 2019.

The session aims to cover a wide array of international trade topics, including Globalization 4.0, how another Industrial Revolution (4IR) may affect exporting, how political divisions impact international business and how crisis can create opportunities.

The session will feature remarks from an expert lineup of speakers:

  • Patrick Binger, International Vice President for Cargill Protein North America
  • Dan Billen, Partner at Primary Color Music
  • Melissa M. Brewer, Senior Associate for Kelly Drye
  • Tim See, Regional Director of East Coast Sales for Savino Del Bene USA

Additional sessions at the event will cover topics including the latest developments in export assistance and opportunity, fundamental checkpoints for exporting, up-to-date legal and shipping trends in international business and success stories shared by Exporter of the Year Award finalist companies.

Registration for the event is still open, with an Early Bird Rate of $50 ending May 25. The regular rate of $75 will be available after that. Students can register for $30. Registration includes all sessions and the luncheon.
