Mobile Workforce Center coming to Kansas towns

Topeka, Kan. – The KANSASWORKS Mobile Center is coming to Clay Center, Atchison, Hiawatha and Ottawa communities this year.

The Mobile Center is available to serve both job seekers and businesses with positions to fill. Topeka Workforce Center staff will be on-site to help job seekers register on KANSASWORKS.com, create résumés, conduct job searches, and apply for job openings. Businesses are invited to attend with information on the available jobs.

The 38-foot mobile computer lab is equipped with 10 computer stations, which can be used for unemployment insurance claim filing, searching for jobs, obtaining labor market information and more.

“Having the KANSASWORKS Mobile Center on-site in Northeast Kansas is an opportunity for KANSASWORKS to facilitate workforce services to both job seekers and businesses in these communities,” Cheryl White, Regional Operations Manager for Northeast Kansas, said.
