Walmart has selected Topeka, Kansas to become the site of a new 1.8 million sq. ft distribution center. The company will invest $200 million and create 300 full-time jobs over the next five years. Walmart will construct their new facility in Topeka’s Kanza Fire Commerce Park.

Topeka’s centralized location and skilled workforce played key roles in the company site selection process. Arkansas-based Walmart this year topped Fortune magazine’s list of the 500 largest corporations by revenue globally.
