Pony Express Historic Byway Designated as Kansas’ 13th Scenic Byway Kansas Tourism today announced the official designation of the Pony Express Historic Byway, a significant cultural and historic route traversing northern Kansas. Registered Apprenticeship Small Business Grants Awarded; New Round Opens Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland and the Kansas Office of Registered Apprenticeship today announced that $28,000 has been awarded to four small businesses across Kansas for projects that will attract and retain workers and continue building the state’s workforce through apprenticeships. Last week, the Department of Commerce celebrated our annual employee service awards luncheon, where we honored Commerce employees who have served the state of Kansas for 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years.
