KANSAS CITY, Mo. – July 20, 2018 – New Directions Behavioral Health announced plans to move its headquarters from Kansas City, Missouri to the Sprint campus in Overland Park, Kansas. The company recently finalized terms of the new lease, which will begin in April 2019. “New Directions is rapidly growing, so we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to call the spacious Sprint campus home starting next year,” said Lee Tuveson, CEO of New Directions. “It was important for us to find a modern and inviting space that would support our business growth initiatives, while giving our employees access to a collaborative work environment.” “The new lease at 6100 Sprint Parkway will give the behavioral healthcare company more than 77,000 square feet of office space,” said Rollie Fors of Colliers International, who represented New Directions in the transaction. “It is always exciting news when successful companies such as New Directions Behavioral Health consider all of their options and choose Kansas for its many advantages, including central location, highly skilled workforce and pro-business environment,” said Kansas Governor Jeff Colyer, M.D. “Their decision is great news for our state and the Kansas City area, and we are thankful for their commitment to add a significant amount of new well-paying jobs over the next few years.” The 200-acre campus, available for corporate use, is home to 17 different office buildings and boasts impressive amenities including on-site dining, an outdoor amphitheater and athletic fields. The campus is also close to New Directions employees’ homes; 73% of the local staff live 30 minutes or less from their new building. “New Directions is a leader in the behavioral health industry. We are excited they have chosen Overland Park for their home,” said Carl Gerlach, Mayor of Overland Park. “Overland Park continues to grow and become home to more great companies within the rapidly growing healthcare sector.” About New Directions Behavioral Health Founded in 1995, New Directions helps people live healthy, balanced lives. The healthcare company provides managed behavioral health services, an Employee Assistance Program, Student Assistance Program, organizational consulting and health coaching to private and public health plans, Fortune 100 companies, large and medium employers and labor groups.
