Governor Kelly Announces Upcoming Statewide Virtual Job Fair

TOPEKA – Governor Laura Kelly encourages Kansans to participate in the next KANSASWORKS Statewide Virtual Job Fair. The virtual job fair will take place from 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022. 

“KANSASWORKS has done an exceptional job of continuing to connect Kansas employers and those seeking employment,” said Governor Kelly. “Providing a skilled workforce is key to continuing the positive economic momentum we have seen in Kansas.”

Kansas has conducted 13 virtual job fairs since the beginning of 2020 with hundreds of employers and job seekers having participated in these events. The job fair will allow job seekers to apply, live chat and interview virtually with employers participating in the event.

“We are bringing new businesses to Kansas every day and these businesses need qualified candidates to fill open positions in order to grow and prosper, “Lieutenant Governor and Commerce Secretary David Toland said. “By continuing to hold virtual job fairs, we are ensuring that we are meeting the needs of both employers and prospective employees.”

Registration is required in order to participate in the virtual job fair, regardless of previous participation. The Virtual Statewide Job Fair portal features a Job Seeker Training video, a list of participating employers, and channels for attendees to register and login. Job seekers are encouraged to dress professionally, as employers may request to engage in a video interview during the virtual job fair.
