Isaiah Stewart

About

Professional artist and muralist Isaiah Stewart is Lakota Indigenous Native artist who uses his graphic design background to bring Native imagery to the space using portraits, Lakota beadwork geometrics, and landscape to the design. He digitizes designs and lays over a photo in the space for approval. When executing the project, he uses a lift to move quickly.

Community Activity Information

Isaiah aims to involve everyone to help after he applies the initial plan to the wall, and he teaches them how to transfer paint with the plan.

Educational Activity Information

He will explain how the design relates to the historical context and use design to make the space a place where the community can identify it as Indigenous and also make the space beautiful.

Program Fee

Fees depend on the size of the project and cover planning, creating, rental of lift if needed, materials, and assistance if budget permits. The community participation will be on a voluntary basis.
