Registration Open for 2019 Community Development Block Grant Application Workshop

Topeka, Kan. – The Kansas Department of Commerce’s Annual Community Development Block Grant Application Workshop will take place on April 18 in Salina, Kansas.

This workshop is an opportunity for local officials, regional planning commissions, grant administrators, outside consultants and state officials to exchange ideas and share experiences.

The event will be held at the Tony’s Pizza Event Center in Salina. Registration opens at 8:30am, with the workshop happening from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Attendance is free.

Grant types/Topics of discussion will include:

  • Community Improvement
  • Housing
  • Urgent Need
  • Commercial Rehabilitation
  • Economic Development

The Kansas Department of Commerce will release more information on CDBG applications for the upcoming year after this event. This workshop will serve as the only application workshop for the year.
