Kansas Tourism Named Destination of the Year, Earns National Marketing Honors The North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA) has awarded three distinguished honors to Kansas Tourism in their annual awards competition, including the respected Destination of the Year award, underscoring the state’s continued commitment to innovative and effective tourism promotion. Grant Applications Open to Expand Rural Registered Apprenticeship Programs Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland today announced $500,000 in Rural Apprenticeship Innovation for a Strong Economy (RAISE) funding to support the expansion of Registered Apprenticeship programs across rural Kansas. Pilot Commerce Grant to Support Renovating Industrial, Manufacturing Buildings Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland today announced the launch of the Industrial Renovation for Opportunity and New Economic Development (IRONED) pilot program. Commerce Celebrates Community Development Block Grant Awards Across State The Kansas Department of Commerce celebrated the success of the 2025 Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) this week by bringing together representatives from 50 Kansas communities, statewide grant administrators, legislators and members of the Kansas congressional delegation.
