Kansas awarded nearly $1 million from USDA to assist with rural digital divide The Kansas Office of Broadband Development (KOBD) has been awarded nearly $1 million from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Utilities Service through its new Broadband Technical Assistance (BTA) grant program. The $997,000 grant will fund pre-engineering design studies in six rural Kansas counties to help reduce costs and identify avoidable barriers as broadband is deployed there. The Kansas International Trade Show Assistance Program (KITSAP) helps introduce Kansas companies to foreign markets through participation in international trade shows. Companies can receive up to $3,500 per trade show, up to $7,000 total, per fiscal year in reimbursement for trade show expenses.

Who Can Qualify

Companies whose products or services originate in Kansas or whose products receive substantial value-added processing in Kansas

Eligibility Requirements

  • KITSAP supports trade shows held in a foreign market, virtual international trade shows, or trade shows held domestically but with significant international participation.
  • The company must be a first-time exhibitor at the trade show for which it is applying or must have a new technology or product being introduced into that market for the first time.

Application Period

KITSAP applications are open and accepted year-round.
