About

Cydnee A. Reese is a multidisciplinary artist whose work lives at the intersection of language, rhythm, and story. Rooted in poetry and expanding across music, theatre, television and film, her practice centers Black interiority, community, legacy, and the emotional truths that shape how we love, survive, and remember.

As a poet, Cydnee crafts language that moves between the lyrical and the conversational, often designed for performance and communal listening. Her theatrical work blends spoken word, narrative drama, and musicality, creating pieces that feel intimate yet expansive. In film, she brings the same sensitivity to character and structure, telling grounded, human stories with visual restraint and emotional precision.

Available for commissions, performances, workshops, consulting, and collaborative projects, Cydnee works with organizations, institutions, production companies, and individuals seeking thoughtful, story-driven art. Whether developing an original piece, contributing to a larger creative vision, or tailoring work for a specific audience or mission, she approaches every project with care, discipline, and a deep respect for the power of storytelling.

Her work is especially well-suited for spaces committed to community engagement, cultural storytelling, social reflection, and artistic excellence.
