Jeff is a singer/songwriter who performs original as well as traditional music as he weaves various aspects of Kansas frontier history between the songs. He’s a popular and frequent guest for those who love the frontier period of our history, from children to senior citizens. His music reflects the serenity, solitude and sometimes chaos of the Kansas prairie landscape.
Jeff Davidson brings an educator role into his entertaining performances. His music and poetry focus on the historical aspects and history of the west. He entertains with lyrical lessons about the role the West played in shaping the U.S. economy, ideology and heroism. He uses both original and vintage songs to tell the story of western development and his poems reflect the lifestyle of those who live in the west.
Jeff’s songs reflect the major historical events which led to major changes in Kansas and throughout the west. He has written songs about the Pony Express, Santa Fe Trail, introduction of Turkey Red wheat, the Chisholm Trail, Native Americans, as well as general songs about Kansas and the Flint Hills. He is a frequent “after dinner” presenter at annual meetings of various organizations throughout Kansas, as well as presentations with libraries, museums and schools.
