Tariffs are nothing new; many of the laws governing them originated with the Tariff Act of 1930. However, recent proposed changes have thrust them into the news and markets. We’ll look at their history and definitions, example rates, other nations’ likely responses to additional tariffs and their effect on international trade, logistics and the bottom line for American businesses and consumers.
