Downtown districts are the heart of communities. Historically, downtown districts have been the center of trade, commerce and civic life in our cities and towns. Kansas communities of all sizes understand that downtown is worth investing in, and we couldn’t agree more. Strengthening these areas is a priority in our state, and it’s a priority for our department.
The Department of Commerce is here to be a partner to communities looking to strengthen these vital districts. Downtowns are where we work to make our towns better, where we gather to celebrate community pride and where entrepreneurs serve the needs of their communities and beyond.
