Kansas Artist Rosters – Application Portal

Promoting Kansas artists across the state

The Kansas Arts Commission maintains an approved Roster of Kansas-based artists working specifically on a variety of artistic disciplines. Applicants for this roster must have a history of community engaged public work and maintain a reasonable fee range. Roster artists are required to work outside their community regularly. Artists will work on public projects as well as provide optional services that may include workshops, master classes, lecture-demonstrations, arts education components, residencies, or short performances.


Timeline:
Applications Open: September 1 – October 5, 2026

Review Meetings: Early November
Decisions Finalized & Applicants Notified: December 2026

Kansas Artist Rosters – Inclusion

Application for Kansas Artists Rosters – Please fill out the information below

The name of the artist or group seeking inclusion on the roster, as it would be listed in the online roster. For example, an artist named Jane Doe who is a part of the group called “Jane Doe & The Kansans” should list the group name in this field.

Choose the one item which best describes the applicant’s primary area of work in the arts.
Provide a description of the applicant. If the applicant is a group, please provide the names of the individual artists comprising its membership.

PROGRAM INFORMATION

Provide the following information about the programs the applicant is able to provide.
Please list the program fee associated with the Public Performance / Exhibition Information (above). This can be a fixed cost or a range dependent on variables. Please provide information on factors and conditions that may impact the fee.
Provide a description of the educational activities that the applicant can provide to students and/or the host community. This activity should complement the main performance/exhibition, build a greater appreciation for the art form, and promote learning through the arts. For example, this could be a workshop, artist talk, master class, etc.
Please provide any additional fee associated with the Community & Educational Activity Information (above).
Please include any other restrictions (distance, availability, etc.) if applicable.
Please provide a recording of the main performance / exhibition. Panelists will limit their review to 3-5 minute segments.
