Governor Kelly Announces Kansas Moving Forward with $451.7M High-Speed Internet Deployment Plan Governor Laura Kelly today announced federal approval of the state’s Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) Initial Proposal Volume 2, providing an investment of more than $450 million to expand Kansas’ high-speed internet infrastructure. Public Art & Murals Grant

 Connecting communities through public art & mural projects

KAC supports public art programs across all Kansas communities. This program is designed to utilize artists and arts organizations to increase community vibrancy and provide space for artistic expression and public engagement.

Kansas Arts Commission Public Art & Murals Program

Award Details

Maximum Request – $10,000

1:1 match required (for a $10,000 award, $10,000 – match required, of which 75% may be in-kind, except for rural communities with a population less than 15,000 for which 100% of the match can be in-kind)

All grant activities and expenditures must take place within the grant period, July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025. Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. CST on Friday, February 23, 2024. See below for more information on eligibility, guidelines, and application details.

Eligible Applicants

Established 501c3 organizations, units of local government, federally recognized tribes

Be incorporated in Kansas and in good standing with the state

Have fulfilled all outstanding contractual obligations with KAC

Have a SAM UEI number. Click here for more information

Program Requirements

Community engagement component (see application for details), State Historic Preservation Office review

Application Period

Applications will be accepted January 12, 2024 – February 23, 2024 through Submittable.
