Business Improvement District
The Business Improvement District (BID) tool was created by the Kansas legislature in 2019 (K.S.A. 12-1782 through 12-1793). A BID is a defined area in which businesses are required to pay annual assessment in order to fund projects within the district’s boundaries. BIDS help augment and improve services generally provided by the municipality and increase the efficiency and quality of outcomes of those typically legally required of businesses.
